Zoe Hobbs wins GOLD at the Commonwealth Games!

Waitakere Athletics is proud to celebrate our registered athlete Zoe Hobbs, who has claimed the gold medal in the Women’s 100m Final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

In a sensational performance on the international stage, Hobbs powered to victory against a world-class field, securing the Commonwealth title and adding another remarkable achievement to her growing list of accolades. Zoe also broke her own Oceania Record, smashing a 10.93s on the final, beating her own previous record of 10.94.

Zoe’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire athletes throughout Waitakere and across New Zealand. Her success is a testament to years of hard work and the strength of New Zealand athletics on the global stage.
